How do we make a trailer with you?
How do we make a trailer with you
Pre production
All of our trailers start with a conversation with you and us, where we talk about your show, what you need and when you need it. We’ll ask questions about the themes of your show, who your audience is, and the specific deliverables you need.
Once we know what you’re after, we’ll be able to give you a quote, or, tell you what we’re able to do within your budget.
If we decide we’re a good fit, we’ll put together the dates and times, and send you a summary of what we’ll be doing when, what we’ll be capturing and what we’ll be delivering.
Shoot
On the day of the shoot we’ll arrive with time to setup, often an hour before, but it can vary. We’ll double check what you’re after, and go over any materials or considerations with you. The trailer might be shot on stage, during a show, or in a studio or on location. Once we’re set-up, we’ll start the shoot. After we’re happy we’ve got everything we want, we’ll pack down. You are more than welcome to leave before we’re packed, we have a lot of kit to put away.
Edit
After the shoot we’ll check in, to let you know how it’s gone, and ask for any graphics, texts or logos you’d like us to use, before starting on the edit. We’ll have agreed on a number of edit iterations in our quote, and discuss with you on what you like and what you want to change. For the final version, we’ll format the video into the quoted formats, adding captions, or reframing the video in vertical. When we’re finished, we’ll send you over your video or videos. We can do this in a number of ways. We typically host our videos on Vimeo.com, a secure and professional video streaming platform. We’ll send you a link to your video where you can watch and download the file, or share the link with anyone else. These links are private, or unlisted, so no one can stumble across them. We can host your video here for a year for free.
We can also send you a direct download link. If you’ve opted for raw footage delivery, this is how we’ll send your files. Finally, we can also deliver materials to you via hard copy, on a thumb drive, or other USB device.
